Sony Xperia Z5 Launch Details Leaked, To Feature Fingerprint Scanner

It seems like Sony is planning to bring some big improvements in its next flagship smartphone. To be known simply as the Xperia Z5, the smartphone is expected to launch sometime in September. Along with Sony Xperia Z5, Sony is also planning to bring the Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Ultra and other new variants in the market.

If you remember, the previous Sony Xperia Z3+ aka Xperia Z4 was launched with small changes, but the new Xperia Z5 will introduce some exciting new features. As per the leaked details, Sony Xperia Z5 is rumored to pack Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM and fingerprint recognition system. While we currently don’t know where Sony is planning to implement this fingerprint scanner, but we are expecting to see it on the home button. Along with that, the phone will follow the same old OmniBalance design with 4,500 man battery Inside.

On the imaging front, the new Sony Xperia Z5 is expected to feature the latest Sony Exmor RS IMX230 based CMOS sensor with 4K video recording support, HDR and 21 million pixels. That is what we currently know about this smartphone. Rumors are also suggesting that Sony might bring Xperia Z5 to Japan in September.
