Adobe has launched its new AI Video generator service as an alternative to OpenAI’s Sora and Google’s Veo. Just like its counterparts, Adobe’s new Firefly Video Model, can create short video clips from simple text prompts or images. In other words, you can simply write what you want your video to be and it will automatically create a video based on that.
This new Firefly Video Model feature, is now available in public beta via Firefly web app. It lets users produce five-second, high-definition (1080p) videos with customizable elements such as camera movements, lighting, and object styles. The company has also hinted at future updates that could include 4K support and faster processing speeds.
Adobe’s AI Video tool comes with two main features: Text-to-Video and Image-to-Video. The Text-to-Video feature enables users to create short clips by providing a written description of the scene. On the other hand, Image-to-Video allows users to include a reference image along with their prompt, helping the AI generate visuals based on both textual and visual input.
To further enhance user experience, Adobe has integrated its AI Video generation model with its popular apps like Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Express. This means AI-generated videos can be easily transferred and edited within Adobe’s ecosystem, allowing for greater flexibility in the creative process.
Showing its commitment to ethical AI development, the company has said that its AI model is trained on licensed and public domain content.
Firefly Video Model Price and Plans
Adobe’s AI video generator comes with different pricing tiers based on usage. The Standard Plan provides a set number of AI-generated videos per month, while the Pro Plan offers expanded access for users with higher demands.
- The Firefly Standard Plan starts at $9.99 per month, providing 2,000 credits for video and audio generation. It allows users to generate up to 20 five-second 1080p videos.
- The Firefly Pro Plan, priced at $29.99 per month, offers 7,000 credits for up to 70 video generations.
