Amazon has officially introduced Alexa+, an upgraded version of its voice assistant, powered by generative AI. This next-gen assistant promises better conversations, smarter actions, and deep personalization, redefining how users interact with AI in daily life.
Alexa+ goes beyond traditional voice commands, offering a more human-like interaction. It can hold natural conversations, understand casual speech, and even predict what you need before you ask.
Unlike the previous Alexa versions, Alexa+ engages in fluid, intelligent conversations. You don’t need to structure commands perfectly—just speak naturally, and Alexa+ will understand.
You can use Alexa+ to control smart devices like Philips Hue and Roborock, book appointments through OpenTable and Vagaro, order food etc. It can even alert you about upcoming sales on Ticketmaster.

Alexa+ learns your habits and preferences. Whether it’s remembering your favorite recipes, dietary preferences, or shopping habits, it tailors its responses accordingly.
Amzon argues that one of Alexa+’s biggest breakthroughs is its ability to perform multi-step tasks independently. Need to get your oven repaired? Alexa+ can find a technician, book the service, confirm the appointment—all without you lifting a finger.
Alexa+ also supports cross device features. It means that you can start a conversation on your Echo device, continue it on your phone, and finish it on your computer.
Pricing & Availability
Alexa+ is available for $19.99 per month, but Amazon Prime members will get it for free. Early access starts in the U.S. over the coming weeks. Priority will be given to Echo Show 8, 10, 15, and 21 owners.
Users can sign up for early access or purchase an eligible device at Amazon’s Alexa+ page.
