Sony giving free 5 days extra to PS Plus subscribers

A couple of days back Sony’s PS Network experienced a major outage, disrupting digital game access, multiplayer features, and the PlayStation Store for over 24 hours.

Reports of connectivity issues started surfacing around 6 PM ET on Friday, with players unable to launch games, access their friends list, or make purchases on the PlayStation Store. Sony acknowledged the outage on its official PSN status page, confirming that multiple services were impacted.

Now to compensate affected users, Sony is offering a five-day extension to all PS Plus subscribers. The company made it clear that this offer will be available to all active subscribers, regardless of their subscription tier.

While Sony has successfully restored all its services, but it has failed to provide any explanation regarding the cause of the outage. Hopefully, we will not see this kind of long outage in near future.
