Google is currently testing a major update for its YouTube website. As spotted by a Reddit user, the company is planning to bring the Material Design UI to YouTube website. While Google is yet to make things official, but from the looks, it is very identical to the current Google+ website design.
For those who are wondering, there is a way you can try the new YouTube design. Just follow a couple of steps and you are good to go.
Before you start testing, take a few second and thanks to Reddit user giorgiomarinel. As he is the one who posted the instructions. You can find them below:
- go to https:www.youtube.com/?gl=US
- open the developer tools (ctrl + shift + i)
- go to the `Resources´ tab and delete the VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE cookie for the youtube domain
- go to the console and define the VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE cookie using the following command:
document.cookie=”VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=Qa1hUZu3gtk;path=/;domain=.youtube.com”;
- reload the page
There are currently no details when Google is planning to enable this new UI. But as it looks finish to us, so we are expecting to see it in the coming weeks.
